Welcome
to Martha’s House!
Who
is Martha?
"Martha"
represents any woman who has been incarcerated for any reason and
yet still has great value and potential in the eyes and heart of
God.
What
is Martha's House?
Martha's House is a non-profit organization that is working toward building a Christian
halfway house for women who have been released from detention centers
in both Horry and Georgetown Counties.
What
will Martha's House provide?
A gateway to spiritual, emotional
and educational success and productivity.
Approximately
six months of counseling training and mentoring where these women
will receive instruction in positive parenting skills, managing
finances, etc. preparing them for their re-entry into society.
Most
importantly, spiritual nurturing that will provide the environment
for each resident to experience God's unconditional love and the
power to live a victorious Christian life.
Our Heart
The
founders of Martha's House have been involved in ministry in detention
centers throughout Horry and Georgetown Counties’ for the
past several years. In that time, we have realized the tremendous
need that these women have for a place of safety as well as encouragement.
We believe that through the ministry of Martha's House, that valuable
lives can find restoration and healing, not only in this area but,
in time, across the country.
